How would you describe/define yourself?

I'm a joyful artist who created "Effortful Learning/Observing Surroundings". I love to learn new things and really pay attention to the details in the world around me. My art shows how I enjoy learning and noticing all the cool things around us.

When and why did you decide to choose painting designing as a career?

Since 2016, I have been attending a local art studio for painting and learning through self-observation. I am fascinated by the artistry of skillfully utilizing colors, mixed media and details, which has inspired me to embark on a journey towards pursuing a career in the field of art.

What according to you is a favorite part of being a Paint Artist?

I believe the most enchanting aspect of being an artist is the ability to express emotions and observations about feelings and the surrounding environment through creative painting, providing an outlet for my emotions.

What inspires you as an Artist? How do you visualize your muses?

The renowned Japanese female artist "Yayoi Kusama" is my artistic muse. At over 90 years old, she continues to create tirelessly, with a never-ending well of artistic inspiration. Her determination to never give up on painting makes her a role model for me and someone worth learning from.

What’s your signature painting element? And why?

The vibrant and colorful nature, along with a childlike playfulness and a touch of whimsical flair, constitutes my signature painting element. I enjoy using these elements because I hope to create a world that is diverse, magical and full of joy, like a lively and cheerful paradise.

The painting you created are best without any doubt, but who and which things were your inspiration while creating such painting?

I truly appreciate the artistic styles of Joan Miró and Marc Chagall, as well as the illustrations of the renowned Japanese picture book artist, Ryoji Arai. Combining these influences with my observations of daily life and the surrounding world, I create my own romantic, whimsical, optimistic, emotional, and colorful artworks.

What’s the best piece of artistic advice you’ve heard? And do you follow it?

I have always admired the goodness in the world and humanity, as well as the sense of community. Adding a touch of care and observation to the mix, I incorporate these elements into my creative inspiration. Cultivating curiosity about the environment around me also contributes to enhancing my artistic endeavors!

As we all know job of a painter is very tough. So how do you keep your mental and physical health fit?

In addition to dedicating myself to daily art creation and practice, during leisure moments, I set aside time for martial arts, qigong and fitness exercises. Engaging in meditation and quiet contemplation to adjust my breathing, or briefly letting my mind wander, proves effective in accumulating and storing artistic energy.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in their career and hoping to make it big as a Paint Artist?

In addition to dedicating myself to daily art creation and practice, during leisure moments, I set aside time for martial arts, qigong and fitness exercises. Engaging in meditation and quiet contemplation to adjust my breathing, or briefly letting my mind wander, proves effective in accumulating and storing artistic energy.

To whom would you like to give credits of your journey till now?

I owe my artistic achievements to my beloved wife, dearest family members, and the CEO of DOMO Art House Studio, Yu-Chuan Lo. Without their trust and support, I wouldn't be able to set aside worries and focus on producing high-quality art.

Anything you wish to share or quote in your interview?

Observing and caring about the world and society, as well as integrating these observations into personalized artistic expressions, not only enhances artistic abilities and creative inspiration, but also, more importantly, contributes to emotional release. In this process, artists can achieve both personal and altruistic goals.
